Born in Rome in 1994, Jacopo Lazzaretti has been studying classical guitar for 11 years. During his studies, he has performed in many masterclasses with some of the worlds most well-known guitarists such as Oscar Ghiglia, Marcin Dylla, Pavel Steidl, Giulio Tampalini, Lorenzo Micheli, Carlo Marchione just to name a few. In 2015-2016, thanks to the Erasmus+ he studied with Matthew McAllister at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and in July 2017 he graduated from the Conservatoire of Santa Cecilia in Rome under the guidance of Arturo Tallini, receiving his First Class Bachelor Degree in Music with Honours. Jacopo has won several prizes in national and international guitar competitions with or without age limitations, such as first prizes at the International Guitar Competition “I Musici di San Lorenzo” (2016), North East Scotland Classical Guitar Society Award (2016) and International Istanbul Guitar Festival (2015). Among the other prizes: third prize at the 11th Montenegro International Guitar Competition (2017), second prize (first not awarded) at 7th International Guitar Competition Acerra Guitar Meetings” (2016), third prize at 4° International Competition “Alirio Diaz” of Rome (2015). He had also the opportunity to play the Romancero Gitano by Mario Castelnuovo Tedesco (concert for Choir and Guitar), which was a prize received during the competition ‘Premio Campus 2014’ in Bassano del Grappa. Jacopo has played in many concerts for several Music Festivals in Italian cities such as Roma, Nuoro, Chieti, Bassano del Grappa, Spello, Bagnoregio as well as abroad in Istanbul, Glasgow and Aberdeen. Currently, he is studying for a Masters Degree in Performance at the Royal Conservatoire of Scoltand with Matthew McAllister and Professor Allan Neave.
